If I don't get 10 mil, the ISK will be refunded to those who have sent it to me. Almost there! I will accept entries until December 31.
You will put up one million of your own ISK and then keep the profit which may be greater than 1m?
Respectfully, you are bad at offering assurance and the opportunity to make 10m isn't worth risking 1m, given this lack of assurance. That said, anyone who pays you and loses their money should have known better, so carry on, citizen.

Kodho wrote:What do I need to do to gain your confidence that this is not a scam? Work through a trusted intermediary like Chribba or Kain. The numbers you're talking may not be worth doing so, though.
Kodho wrote:Right now I have 6 million isk. 5 million has be given from five different mercs to be entered in the raffle. I have pledged 1 million of my own ISK....no strings attached. So, all I need is 4 more people to sign up and the raffle will be in place and I will pick a winner January 1. When 4 more people sign up do you intend to stop taking tickets or will you continue to collect ISK? Putting 1m into a legiimate 10m ISK raffle is a potential gain of 9m ISK. If you have 1m ISK to spare, that extra nine is probably not significant enough to be worth it, considering that [u][by the very nature of the raffle/u] you may not see any returns at all.
Add into this an unknown actor hosting the raffle and there's just so little to be gained.
Kodho wrote:To show I'm legit I have sent you (Mithridates VI) 1 million ISK. Now you have no reason not to enter. What? Why did you do that? I don't understand what that proves.
Imagine you were a scammer and so far you had gained 5m ISK from your scam. If you throw away 1m in a credibility-buying gamble, you only need one more sucker to buy in to make that back. My issue isn't that I think you're a scammer, though. It's just that I don't think the raffle is worthwhile or being run effectively.

The best way to host this would be for the host to leave a very large sum of their own money with a trusted escrow service which would be payable to any victims of a scam. There is still the issue of alts winning, though. Raffles ain't no joke.
